Sylvia C. Spitale, 75, passed away on February 12, 2012. She was born on January 29, 1937 to Florence and Luther Olson in Jamestown, New York. Sylvia graduated from Jamestown High School. She married Anthony Spitale in June of 1972 in Jamestown, New York.
Sylvia was employed at MRC-SKF as an inspector and retired after 30 years of service. She was a former member of Women of Moose Chapter 134 in Jamestown, NY. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jamestown, and Washington Heights Church in Ogden, Utah. She enjoyed her bible studies, especially keenagers. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed playing games and cards, arts and crafts, floral arranging and cooking. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be remembered for her smile which brightened the spirit of everyone she touched.
Sylvia is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Steve) Lang of Ogden, Utah, Amy Yarborough, Babette Lyon both of Phoenix, Arizona, four grandchildren; Tabitha (Tim) Pattison, Nathan and Kaitlyn Chaffee, Jordan Hirschfeld and one great granddaughter Brianna Pattison.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Spitale, and daughters, Cecelia Lyon and Christine Lee.
Memorial Services for Sylvia will be held at Washington Heights Church, 1770 East 6200 South, Ogden, on Friday February 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
