Janet Eastman King

Ogden-Janet Eastman King passed away January 23, 2012 at the Washington Terrace Rehabilitation Center in Washington Terrace, Utah.

She was born October 1, 1958 in Ogden, Utah to Arnold Jimmy Eastman and Georgia Lee Eastman. They were later divorced.

She attended Weber County Schools, graduated from Roy High School, and attended Weber State University. She worked as a Payroll Data Entry Operator for the Weber County Auditor and as a Data Entry Operator for the I.R.S.

She married Gregg Nelson on August 25, 1978. They were later divorced.

She married Noel King on July 22, 1994, he preceded her in death.

Janet was a very adventurous person. Being an avid horse lover, she won many trophies and ribbons in English dressage and jumping.

She also was a skydiver who had logged over 150 jumps.

She is survived by her parents, Georgia and Jon Freston, siblings, Laura Lee (Bob) Bemenderfer, and Ronald (Sherri) Freston and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, January 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family will greet friends prior to the service from
1:00 ~ 1:45 p.m.

Interment will follow at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
