Elsie Gayle Whiting Stone VanLeeuwen, 83, passed away January 22, 2012. She was born on March 8, 1928 to Robert Fredrick Whiting and Rachael Spackman in Morgan, Utah. Gayle graduated from Ogden High School.
She married Charles Stone, Carl Raymond Stone Jr. and then married George H. VanLeeuwen they all preceded her in death.
Gayle loved her birds and flowers. She worked at Fresenius in Ogden for 25 years. She lived in Ogden, Utah all of her life. She was a member of the LDS Church. She had a special bond and loved the children in her neighborhood.
Gayle is survived by her children; Sharon Tanner, Marlene Christensen, Roger Stone, Alan Stone, Fred Stone, brothers; Wayne Whiting, Robert F. Whiting Jr., 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 3 husbands, her son Raymond Stone and sister, June Cisowski.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, at 2:00 p.m., immediate family will gather at Leavitt's Mortuary one hour prior to services.
